Featured on Rock My Wedding
When I first spoke to wedding planner and shoot director/stylist Jenna Hewitt about capturing this shoot, I knew it was going to be special. Her concept of a shoot that reflected three stages of a bride on her wedding day (and the emotions that go along with it) was so up my street, I jumped at the chance. Narrative and storytelling through photography is what I ADORE. The more we spoke and the more of the team I met, the more excited I got – everyone was so passionate and committed, how could it not be a success?
I arrived a bit frazzled (thanks to a taxi driver who got lost), but The Copse is such a beautiful and calming place and the owners Penny and Tim Holley (and their dogs) such warm hosts, that I soon felt like I was on a mini weekend break (for about 5 minutes at least).
It was an early morning start (if you've never assembled a gazebo at 5am in the pitch black, it's doable, but I'd recommend against it). Florist Jen Edmonds (Willow Gold) had finished work at 11pm the night before, assembling the stunning floral arch in the stables (yes, there are horses too!) and started again at 3am the next day and just how she powered through, I have NO idea (what a superwoman).
Shooting outside in October is a cold (and muddy) business and although we were all wrapped up, model Eva Dithdoll was definitely NOT. Eva managed to look effortlessly beautiful at all times (even barefoot) and I hope she's warmed up by now!
Everyone put so much in to this shoot and I can't help but have a massive grin on my face when I look through all the photos. We were all completely shattered by the end, but I think we've all recovered now (just about). So, who wants to do it all again?!
